Spring conclave is this weekend! Are you excited? We are! Here’s all the information you need for the event.

Check-in is from 5:30-7:00 pm on Friday night at the main camp pavilion.
The event will conclude at 10:00 am on Sunday morning.
Need to register? You can still do so by filling out this form.
The fee for Brotherhood is $15. This fee only covers your sash. You will need to pay at the door, and credit cards will be accepted.

Transition Team April Update

Hello Fellow Arrowmen,
As you many of you have heard Nacha Tindey Lodge is merging with Indian Drum Lodge to the North of us. The Lodge Formation Team has been working hard in the creation of a new lodge. Not a lot of information is concrete yet but the lodge formation team is getting closer and closer to releasing information about how both of our lodges will be moving forward and transitioning into a new lodge. To give the general membership a chance to ask questions, members of the Nacha Tindey Transition Committee will be coming to chapter meetings during the month of May. The representatives will be taking questions and will do their best to answer them (please be patient as some specific details about the new lodge have yet to be decided, therefore members of the Transition Committee may not have an answer to your questions at this time). In the coming months more information about how the Transition to one lodge will take place, updates about new information will be posted to this website as they become available. April Update

Just a quick update here for the month of April.

Today’s Executive Committee meeting was a success. We got a good amount of work done and prepared quite a bit for the summer and for Spring Conclave. Check out the agenda on the Executive Committee page.
Speaking of Spring Conclave, planning for the event is going very well. The Spring Conclave event page will be up later this week with all kinds of fun information regarding Nacha Tindey Lodge’s last event.
We’ve posted a gallery of pictures from Winter Banquet.
The answers to the trivia questions in the Sparks are now available online at this link.
The transition team is trucking away to figure out how the new lodge will function. Everything is going smoothly and the team is on track for a successful merger.
Registration forms are available for both Section Conclave and Spring Conclave in the Documents section at the right.

Lodge Merger Q&A Session

After our Executive Committee meeting this Sunday, March 18, our lodge transition team will be hosting a Q&A session at the council office. The Executive Committee meeting will begin at 1:00 pm, and the Q&A session will begin at 4:30 pm. The Q&A session will last until there are no more questions. Both meetings will be held in the Steelcase Room, the large conference room on the second floor of the council office directly across from the entrance. We will post a summary of the meeting on the website.

Lodge Merger

At Winter Banquet on January 21, 2012, it was announced that Nacha Tindey Lodge will be merging with Indian Drum Lodge to the north. There are, naturally, many questions about why we are merging and how the process will be undertaken. We have therefore created a page explaining many of the details about the process, and our Lodge Chief and Lodge Advisor have prepared a letter explaining many of these questions.

Winter Banquet is coming up on January 21! Have you registered yet? To avoid paying the late fee, make sure you register by January 16! Remember that family and friends of Arrowmen may attend Winter Banquet, not just the Arrowman himself.

Honor Arrowman and Arrowman of the Year Nominations

Hello everyone,

Each year at winter banquet, Nacha Tindey Lodge gives out several awards. Two of the awards are Honor Arrowman and Arrowman of the Year. Honor Arrowman is awarded to Arrowmen from our lodge who have provided much service to our lodge or our camp and can be given to as many as are worthy, up to a cap set by the Lodge Chief. Arrowman of the Year is given to the two Arrowmen (one youth and one adult) who have best exemplified the ideals of the Order of the Arrow through service.

Do you know someone who has provided service to the Order of the Arrow this year? We need YOUR nominations for these awards! Nominations are due by December 31st to the council office, so get them in quickly. The form is available in the Documents section to the right. You can view the list of all past recipients by clicking here.

Registration for winter banquet must be turned in by Thursday, January 15, to avoid a late fee. You can register either by turning in the paper form and paying now (the form is available in the Documents section to the right), or electronically by clicking here and paying cash or check only at the door.

Unit Elections Scheduling is now Live!

Lodge Update

Hey everyone!

It’s been a little while since we’ve updated, so here’s a quick announcement regarding what the lodge has been up to.

There was an Executive Committee meeting this past Sunday, at which our budget for the year was finalized. This budget will be available soon on the Our Lodge page. Also, just another reminder that the Executive Committee voted back in October to increase our lodge dues to $12 per year. This change goes into effect on January 16, 2012, in accordance with our by-laws.

We have a new system this year for unit elections. This will be an online system, and we hope it will be much more efficient for everyone involved. The system is not up quite yet, but look for it in the next week or two at nachatindey.org/unitelections. We’ll post an update here when the system is live.

Winter banquet planning is underway, and the event looks to be fantastic. The prices have changed slightly for this year; the most notable change being that we will no longer offer a family fee. Check the events page for more information, and also check out the event registration page. The paper registration form is also available in the Documents section to the right.

Finally, the website has received some updates. The Honor Arrowman and Arrowman of the Year nomination form is available at the right, as is the Vigil Honor nomination form. Nominations for the Honor Arrowman and Arrowman of the Year awards must be returned to the council office by December 16, and Vigil Honor nominations must be returned by winter banquet on January 21, 2012 (Vigil Honor nomination forms will be available at winter banquet and you can turn them in there).
